Advanced Skin Specialist Pathway – Level 4 & 6

This pathway is designed for practitioners who already hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience and wish to progress into advanced aesthetic skin treatments. Learners will develop the knowledge and practical skills required to deliver advanced skin rejuvenation procedures and manage a wider range of skin concerns within clinical practice.

Learners begin with the ProQual Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Treatments and Skin Science, where they develop advanced knowledge of skin science, consultation and assessment, ethical practice, and practical skills in a range of non surgical aesthetic treatments including dermaplaning, micro-needling, chemical peels and the removal of skin blemishes.

Following completion of Level 4, learners can progress to the ProQual Level 6 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice, which further develops advanced clinical knowledge and professional competence within aesthetic practice. The programme focuses on areas such as infection control, professional standards, advanced anatomy and physiology, and a range of advanced aesthetic treatments.

Learners select 3 optional treatment modalities from the following: micro-needling, chemical peel treatments, micro needle mesotherapy, skin booster injections and non surgical fat reduction, allowing them to tailor their training to their chosen area of aesthetic practice. Additional treatment units can be completed to expand their treatment portfolio for an additional fee.

Description

Course Fee: £6495 (Excludes kit and beauty tunic)

Registration Fee: The registration fees are included in the course fee; however, registration can expire in accordance with our terms and conditions.

Exam Fee: The course price includes practice and assessment dates provided upon course registration, and includes two assignment submissions. For charges relating to the additional assignment submission please refer to our terms and conditions.

Booking Fee: A non-refundable booking fee of £450 is required to confirm your place on the course.  The remaining amount can be paid in up to 12 interest free instalments at four week intervals. Please contact us to confirm course dates prior to payment and read our terms and conditions prior to course enrolment.

Entry Requirements: Students must have a good level of English.

Qualification Requirements: Students are required to complete the qualification within 18 months of enrolment, with 9 months allocated for each course.  Students are required to produce a portfolio, demonstrate practical competency with good level of theoretical knowledge and understanding of the subject area.

Certification: The qualification covered in this option include the following:

  • ProQual Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Treatments and Skin Science
  • ProQual Level 6 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice

The awarding body is ProQual as specified above.

Entry Requirement for the ProQual Level 6 Diploma:
Learners must hold the Level 3 Award in Adult Basic Life Support, AED and Management of Anaphylaxis. If this qualification is not already held, it can be completed prior to or alongside the course – click here.

Enrolment is open throughout the year, allowing students to join at any time. Most courses include Zoom sessions delivered ahead of the practical training days, which run on a rolling schedule.
