VTCT Skills Level 5 Certificate in Non-surgical Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation has been specifically developed as a progression route into Level 7 qualifications in advanced aesthetic treatments as well as for individuals who wish to learner a range of advanced aesthetic procedures.  This qualification supports the evolving standards within the aesthetic industry and aligns with the movement towards greater regulation — ensuring that practitioner knowledge, client safety, and professional accountability are central to all non-medical aesthetic procedures.

This course is ideal for qualified practitioners aged 18 and over who wish to expand their skills by offering advanced skin rejuvenation treatments. It provides a strong foundation for those seeking employment as a Level 5 Aesthetic Practitioner or planning to progress into higher-level qualifications (Level 7) in aesthetic practice.

To achieve this qualification, learners must successfully complete eight mandatory units:

  • Principles of non-surgical aesthetic procedures (assessed via multiple-choice written exam and short answer questions)
  • Client assessment for non-surgical aesthetic procedures (assessed via multiple-choice written exam and short answer questions)
  • Advanced skin science for non-surgical aesthetic procedures (assessed via multiple-choice written exam)
  • Complication management and emergency plan implementation for non-surgical aesthetic procedures (assessed via multiple-choice written exam and short answer questions)
  • Provide advanced chemical peels for skin rejuvenation (assessed via multiple-choice written exam, formative case studies, and practical observations)
  • Provide advanced skin needling procedures for skin rejuvenation (assessed via multiple-choice written exam, formative studies and practical observations)
  • Provide needle mesotherapy procedures for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration (assessed via multiple-choice written exam, formative studies and practical observations)
  • Provide light emitting diode (LED) phototherapy for skin rejuvenation (assessed via multiple-choice written exam and practical observations)

Description

Course Fee: £2995

Registration Fee: The registration fee is included in the course fee; however, it can expire according to our terms and conditions.

Exam Fee: The course price includes dates provided upon course registration, one written exam attempt, two assignment submissions. For charges relating to additional written exam attempts, practical assessment days and assignment submissions please refer to our terms and conditions.

Equipment: Students have an option to purchase equipment and skincare from Dermedics UK.

Booking Fee: A non-refundable booking fee of £395 is required to confirm your place on the course.  The remaining amount can be paid as a single payment or in 4-6 interest free instalments at four week intervals. Please read our terms and conditions prior to course enrolment.

Entry Requirements: Students must hold the VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for Skin Rejuvenation or
equivalent. Students who wish to undertake this qualification must also hold a regulated Level 3 Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis.  Please contact us if you do not meet the entry requirements.

Qualification Requirements: Once enrolled, students are provided access to our online learning portal with access to theory and reading materials. Written assignments which can be completed in your own time around current family and work commitments. To successfully complete this course students must pass summative practical assessments, produce short answer responses as written assignments and pass a series of multiple choice written exams. This course is marked as a pass or fail.
